In the late 1960s and early 1970s, I was a young music journalist with a unique opportunity to spend time with some of the most iconic musicians of all time. I was there when the Beatles were recording their last album, "Abbey Road," and I witnessed the Stones' infamous Altamont concert. I interviewed Bob Dylan at length, and I even spent a night jamming with Eric Clapton.
In this book, I share my stories about these legendary musicians. I tell the stories behind some of their most famous songs, and I reveal the personal side of these complex and often enigmatic figures.
